Exploring Omaha: A Guide to the City's Trolley Rides

Omaha, Nebraska is a vibrant city with plenty of attractions and activities to explore. One of the most popular ways to get around is by taking a trolley ride. The route that runs through downtown Omaha adds a Loop + Cass to the tenth alternative to the service areas around the CHI Health Center and the riverfront. The free tram service offered by Ollie the Trolley will connect all participating establishments from noon to 5:00 p.m.Benson is an Omaha neighborhood that has evolved into an eclectic area that welcomes everyone, with unique nightspots, a stellar concert venue, and some places kids will love.

Small in size but very charming, Omaha's Little Bohemia is a neighborhood just south of the Old Market. Its name comes from the fact that, in the mid-1880s, Czech immigrants who arrived in Omaha created a community along 13th Street. From Florence to South Omaha, from Dundee to the Missouri River, at its peak in the early 20th century, streetcars roamed the streets of Omaha's youth. A chaotic network of private streetcar lines led to the creation in 1903 of the company Omaha & Council Bluffs Street Railway Co. Most tank suppliers are located in central Nebraska, in Sandhills, but you can enjoy the tanking experience near Omaha, on the Elkhorn River, with the company Tank 'N' Tube River Rides.

If the Omaha streetcar follows the positive trends of other cities, such as Kansas City, there will be an uptick in development along its route. Downtown Omaha is an obvious part of Omaha to start exploring, with live music venues, shops, bars, and theaters, but there's much more to see beyond the city center. Some of my favorite theater venues in Omaha are the Omaha Community Playhouse, the Bluebarn Theater, and the Broadway series presented by O-Pa. Instead of expanding outward, Omaha will have to expand upward with denser development and population in the urban core. Workers piled up on the streetcars that ran along 24th Street and headed to the packing houses of South Omaha, the night spectators were putting on their best clothes and heading to the Orpheus, and young baseball players were eagerly awaiting the arrival of a streetcar in the middle of summer. In this video, Buffett promised to personally accompany voters to the polls — and take selfies — on the streetcars provided by the Omaha transportation service Ollie the Trolley. Are you ready for your trolley ride through Omaha? There are plenty of stops along this route that you can explore.

From Benson to Little Bohemia and from Florence to South Omaha, you can experience all that this city has to offer. Don't forget about Tank 'N' Tube River Rides for a unique experience near Omaha!.
